ANOTHER WORLD : RELOADED
ANOTHER WORLD : RELOADED is a third-person action puzzle remake inspired by the iconic cinematic platformer Another World, originally created by Eric Chahi in 1991.
Captured by an alien civilization after being transported into a mysterious world, the player must escape prison alongside another captive using a futuristic weapon capable of firing energy beams and creating defensive shields.
Developed during the 3rd year at ARTFX over two months, the project focused on recreating the famous prison escape sequence while transforming the original 2D gameplay into a modern 3D experience.
Development Challenges
- Adapting a legendary 2D cinematic sequence into immersive 3D gameplay.
- Designing combat and puzzle interactions around energy beam mechanics.
- Recreating the atmosphere and pacing of the original game.
- Managing collaboration within a large multidisciplinary team.
4th Year Improvements
- One additional week was dedicated to bug fixing and polish.
- Gameplay balancing and technical corrections were implemented.
- Additional visual polish and stability improvements were added.
